Biography: Mithiel is the younger daughter of a marinier and his wife. Her sister Miril was only fifteen at the time of her birth, and as a result the sisters were extremely close during childhood and beyond. When Miril and her husband decided to journey to Gondolin with Turgon's people, Mithiel chose to accompany them. She quickly established herself as an artist and created a series of paintings involving Maedhros and Fingon that became quite popular.
Mithiel was crushed by her sister and brother-in-law's deaths in the mine collapse, and is now raising her niece Gliriel. This is a difficult task for Mithiel, as she is prone to quick bursts of temper and lives an unstructured lifestyle. She is currently seeking a foster home or adoptive parents for Gliriel.
Mithiel is houseless, unaffiliated, and unwed by choice. She favors the color red, and is often found with paint-covered hands and arms. She is very tolerant, despite the fact that Mardil is her boyfriend.
